Enable, on behalf of the Nottinghamshire Partnership, is leading the Future Jobs Fund for Nottinghamshire County. The Future Jobs Fund is part of the Department of Work and Pensions Young Persons Guarantee and is an initiative to offer 6 month long, 25 hour a week, National Minimum Wage jobs of community benefit to young people aged between 18-24 who have been out of work for 6-12 months (jobs are also open to people aged 25 and over who live in particular disadvantaged wards across the county).
Enable currently have 56 employers who have created a total of 217 jobs across Nottinghamshire. We are working to include more employers on to this project to create more jobs for young people. As of Wednesday 14th April 98 people had started Future Jobs Fund jobs in Nottinghamshire ranging from Event Administrator to Trainee Payroll Officer/Officer Manager to Gardening & Horticulture Training Support Assistant. This is fantastic opportunity for our member organisations to expand their services, especially as employers receive up to £1500 in support funding for each Future Jobs Fund employee they recruit.
If you are interested in becoming a Future Jobs Fund employer or know of any other organisations that may benefit from this please contact our team on futurejobsfund@enable.uk.net to find out more.
