The Work Programme provides a single, personalised Welfare to Work programme for all client groups, where the provision is delivered through a contract.
It has replaced much of the complicated raft of national programmes previously on offer and these have been phased out.
It gives providers longer to work with individuals and greater freedom to decide the appropriate support for them. It offers significant new opportunities for contractors from the private and voluntary sectors to deliver truly flexible and personalised support, building appropriate partnerships to do so.
Enable has been able to agree contracts for the delivery of the Work Programme in Ashfield, Bassetlaw and Nottingham City. Further details can be found in Enable and the Work Programme - a statement from our board of trustees.
More information on The Work Programme can be found on the DWP website. The site also includes a list of questions and answers which will be regularly updated.
