Enable was established in 2003 and has served the local community for 20 years. We play a key role in ensuring the Voluntary and Community Sector has a voice within the relevant local planning and decision-making structures for employment and skills.

 

Our aim is to provide high quality, integrated employment, and skills programmes through a consortium of Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) providers, our members, in accessing funding to provide learning and skills programmes that meet local needs, where they are unable to do so independently.

 

Over the years we have become an embedded membership organisation serving the East Midlands providing a voice for the sector and successfully lobbying the Educational Skills Funding Agency to continue to support our Voluntary Community Partners in delivering high quality learning and skills to individuals.

 

We want to 'Enable' individuals, employers and community groups provide opportunities for people to bring their best selves to work and life.
